A belated Thanksgiving

So I totally wrote about Thanksgiving right after it happened, and then it was deleted before I posted it. Just my luck, right? Since we are moving back up to Utah county in August, we decided to do our own thing this year. Just the three of us. We brined our turkey and all. Pretty great if I say so myself. Drew playing in the turkey bowl the high school puts on as a fundraiser. Married against single married won! I'm pretty grateful for my little family.

Envy

I have a confession to make. I hate my blog. I totally wish I knew what I was doing, or where to look to learn what to do. But I don't. So instead, I wander and admire all of you with the adorable blogs. You know who you are! I would love to blog more. Its one of those silly things that I envy. I read others blogs and feel like they just have a way with words that I have never had. So I randomly keep updating about my baby, and life for my sake. But keep wishing this blog could be so much more. If anyone has any great advice for me, I will take it! In the mean time, I will keep reading yours. :)

Nine Months Baby!

Where has this year gone? I just really don't understand it. I swear it was just yesterday that I was so massively pregnant. Like ready to explode. And now I have a nine month old who says dada, crawls likes no ones business, pulls himself up and stands on anything he can get his hands on, chases Drew around the couch, and giggles at himself while talking. I couldn't be any more in love with my life right now.

Moving down to Hurricane has been the best decision. Not only have Drew and I grown so much closer, but I have found out who my real friends are. I recently came to the conclusion to stop trying to impress people who don't care. Drew loves me, I have amazing cousins who are always and will always be there for me, and any other friends who want to come and go are more than welcome. I have who I need.

My newest goal is to get that pre-baby body back. Golds gym anyone? I need all the encouragement I can get. Especially considering I am going to run my very first 1/2 marathon in May. Here's to eating healthy and working out!

Btw, this boy is 87 percentile in height! Dang! He sure didn't get those genes from me!

That's life.

Yesterday was our two year anniversary. Two years. Can you believe it? And wanna know how we spent it? At home. Eating enchiladas and watching movies.

Our car is having more problems. Let me tell you, when it rains, it pours. My dad said that us moving down here must be right because everything is falling apart. And he is right. Can you say trial of faith? I sure can.

Even though money is super tight right now, I can still see the lords hand in my life. Like after our first day at church, I already have a day care job. It's only for two months. But hey, it's a start.

In other words, guess who is army crawling like a champ? It won't be long until my baby is crawling! Where has the time gone?

And the adventure starts.

We did it. We are officially on our own again. It's kinda a bitter sweet thing. I miss my family like crazy. But it is so nice to have our very own space. And fit in that space. The drive down here was long. Very long. Mostly because our car doesn't have air conditioning. And poor little Creighton had a sweat mustache. And our car keep threatening us to overheat. So we would slow down. Which made the heat even worse. But we made it. Barely. My very awesome 15 year old brother came to help us move and hung out with us for a few days. He is pretty much the best 15 year old brother ever. We even went to Sand Hollow twice. Talk about scary. Fun, but my husband and brother pushed me out of my comfort zone. So one of my biggest fears is drowning. Like I have some pretty major anxiety about it. Drew and my bro went out to a cliff and started jumping in. Scary. Then they came back and convinced me to walk out a little farther with them. I got to where the water was at my neck when I was on my toes and I couldn't go any farther. I kinda started to have a little freak out. I tried to climb up on the rocks that were close by but slipped. And started to cry. Yep. I'm that much of a scardy cat. But I did it! I think I need swimming lessons. Who is with me?

I want to go to there!

We have some pretty big news. It's called a new adventure. I can't even begin to explain how excited I am! Wait for it, wait for it..... We are moving to St. George! Well, not the city of St. George, but really close. Drew and I found this gorgeous apartment in hurricane. Pictures coming soon. Drew is going to continue to take classes online and work full time. As of right now I am going to continue to be a full time stay at home mom. How lucky am I?? It's crazy how fast our plans changed and how it all has fallen into place. When the lord has a plan, he provides a way. That doesn't mean it won't be hard though. I mean, our car has failed safety and emissions twice now. Twice! And I'm going to miss my family like crazy. But I think it will be so good for our little family to be out on our own. Ya know, forces to just grow closer to each other. We are moving next weekend! It's coming up way too fast. So wish me luck while I frantically pack up my house and clean like a mad woman.

He's a rollin along!

Early this morning Creighton was crying so Drew went in to give him his pacifier, and found him on his stomach! Drew turned him over but within about fifteen minutes he was crying again. I went in there this time and found him on his stomach again! Yeah! It's about time. All his other baby friends were showing him up, and we can't have that happening now can we? Then I watched him roll over later in the day. I'm such a proud momma! I have been amazed at how even in the last few days, how much Creighton has changed. He is laughing more, starting to grab at stuff, rolling both ways, playing with his feet. It's just so fun! We love our little man. :)
